Abstract:

Originally called "The Techo Echo", ECU's student newspaper, now "The East Carolinian" first rolled off the presses on Dec. 19, 1925. As noted in this commemorative article, the paper has served faithfully as a training laboratory for students advancing in the field of journalism and media.
