Abstract:
A number of North Carolina businesses generously support artistic and humanistic endeavors. As a way to officially recognize and extend public appreciation to them, the Governor's Business Award in the Arts and Humanities was created. A special panel chose the winning firms: RJ Reynolds Industries; Graham Drug Company of Wallace; NCNB Corporation of Charlotte; Hanes Dye and Finishing Company of Winston-Salem; and The Liggett Group, Inc., of Durham.
