"Since acquiring RBC Bank (USA) ten years ago, PNC has stewarded Rocky Mount's established banking tradition, while facilitating continued growth and impact for local customers and the community. Rocky Mount's banking legacy goes back to 1899, with the establishment of Planters National Bank. Peoples Bank & Trust was established in 1931.
