Abstract:

Deans Farm Market has been an institution in Wilson County since 1965. James sharpe and wife Courtney took over the business in 2001. the sharps added a commercial kitchen to Deans in 2016. Customers can buy prepared foods sourced directly from the farm. An educational component provides youngsters with hands-on-activities and field trips around the farm.

Abstract:

Master Blend Family Farm of Duplin County is Certified Animal Welfare Approved by A Greener World (AGW). As a whole, the pork industry employs 46,000 people in North Carolina. Ronald W. Simmons Jr. heads Master Blend, which now harvests about 5,400 pounds of pork each month.
