William Boyd died in 1815, leaving a Will. His widow, Rachael Boyd (m.2) Alfred Nelson). William and Rachael Boyd had three sons, Thomas Boyd, William Boyd and Robert Boyd. The sons, Thomas and William Boyd died young, intestate. Calvin Boyd, sued Alfred Nelson, on behalf of Robert Boyd, a minor, to stop Nelson from taking the slaves of the estate of William Boyd out of State.
