"Hopes to fulfill the Global Transpark's promise are looking brighter." Mark Pope is President of the N.C. Global TransPark Economic Development Region. the park has one of the longest runways on the East coast. Plans are currently underway for developing the north side of the runway.

Wake Technical Community College recently received a federal grant to jumpstart the college's Hendrick Center for Automotive Excellence's electric vehicle training program. The state is emerging as a center for electric vehicle technology. North Carolina is also a key source for lithium used in EV batteries.

In September 2024, the business received a $1.9 million grant from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs for purchase of a facility in Nash County.
