One of the state's most prominent real estate developers, David Couch owns Summerfield Farms, an events and working cattle farm venue. A growing need for affordable housing is a driving mechanism for Couch in redeveloping Summerfield with higher density housing , which has been met with stiff opposition from residents and town council officials.
