- Personal correspondence from Arctic explorer Vilhjalmur Stefansson to Inglis Fletcher. Of note is the mention that Stefansson received $750 from [Harold] Noice and his plan to give half the money to Ada Blackjack "as a moral right, not a legal" one. Blackjack was the sole survivor of the Wrangel Island Expedition which Stefansson organized. Both Noice and Stefansson profited off Blackjack's diary using it to write books and gain notoriety. While Stefansson claimed to have paid Blackjack all she was owed, Blackjack maintained she was never compensated for her story. Creator: Stefansson, Vilhjalmur, 1879-1962 - 1925-01-10
