INFORMATION FOR CONTRIBUTORS TO THE ELECTRONIC MUSIC REVIEW

The Electronic Music Review will be a quarterly publication provid-
ing a source of information and a means of discourse on electronic
music among composers, engineers, teachers, performers, and listeners.
It is interested in publishing such materials as:

- descriptions of the circuitry, construction, and applica-
tions of studio equipment
information on working methods and techniques
descriptions of equipment and facilities at various studios
reports of various events, activities, and trends
articles on aesthetic, theoretic, and analytic aspects of
electronic music

~ bibliographies and discographies.

The first issue will appear in January 1967.

OUTLINE OR MANUSCRIPT?

It is often a good idea to submit the outline of an article rather
than the completed manuscript. An author can prepare an outline
more quickly, and an editor can get a speedy decision back to him.
A good outline will help give logical organization to the final
article. Furthermore, an author is never quite sure of what an
editor wants at the moment, and it is much easier to revise an
outline according to the editor's suggestions than it is to revise
a completed article.

An outline should be accompanied with the following information:

- the title of the article
- the number and types of illustrations

- approximate number of words in the article (The Review
sets no length limits. Book-length manuscripts will be
considered for publication in serial form or as special
issues.)

- the date by which the manuscript can be completed.

THE COMPLETE MANUSCRIPT
Prepare all materials in duplicate and retain a copy of each.

- Type (double-spaced) your manuscript, using one side of
each sheet.

~ Label all diagrams, tables, etc.; lightly label with pencil
the backs of all photographs (only black and white glossy
prints accepted).

We regret that, due to the limited budget of the Review, we are

unable to award honorariums to authors of accepted manuscripts.
