A 12-page manuscript handwritten by Lieutenant Commander Lloyd O. Johnson on July 23, 1983. Johnson was the Commissary and Ship's Store Officer aboard the USS Whitney and was at home 12 miles away from Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. The manuscript contains information detailing the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor (7 December 1941), information concerning the Purple and Magic codes, and mentions of the rest of Johnson's Navy career as well as USS Whitney and Pearl Harbor Survivor reunions.
