Johnson was the Commissary and Ship's Store Officer aboard the USS Whitney and was at home 12 miles away from Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. This document includes his experiences and memories from the Attack on Pearl Harbor as well as his opinion on how the war effort would have differed if the Whitney had not survived the attack.
