Part 4 of a group interview with seven members of the United States Navy B-1 Band. Those interviewed include: Wray R. Herring, Abe Thurman, Calvin Morrow, Richard Jones, Simeon O. Holloway, John Gilmer, and Huey L. Lawrence. The B-1 Band was the first all-African American band in the U. S. Navy during World War II. The members discuss their worst experiences in the Navy. Several of the band members discuss their experiences being victims of racism in the Armed Forces. Interviewer: Alex Albright.
