Dear Friend,

We have received your registration for the 1990 Managers, Directors and Promoters Conference
sponsored by the Institute of Outdoor Drama and are delighted that you plan to join us in
Cherokee. Enclosed is a receipt for your registration fee.

Cherokee is located 50 miles west of Asheville, North Carolina (see enclosed map). Driving time
from the Asheville airport to Cherokee is approximately one hour, 15 minutes. HERTZ (704-684-
6455) is offering special reduced weekend rates to Outdoor Drama Conference delegates. Rates
range from $23 for a compact to $26 for a full-size, 4-door, with unlimited mileage. Other rental
car companies serving the Asheville airport include Avis, Budget, National and Enterprise.

Upon arrival at the Holiday Inn in Cherokee, please stop by the Conference desk to pick up your
registration folder. This will contain the full program schedule, announcements, special
information, meal tickets, tour tickets and a nametag. The Conference desk will be open for
check-in Friday, October 5, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, October 6, from 8:30 a.m. to
noon. The first Conference session will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5.

Company reps are encouraged to bring a large supply of souvenir programs, brochures, and other
promotional materials for distribution at the Conference.

Both the Saturday morning tour of the Mountainside Theatre and the optional Sunday tour of
area attractions will take place rain or shine. Bus transportation will be provided, but don�?Tt forget
to bring along a raincoat, umbrella, comfortable shoes and a sweater. Early October weather in
the mountains can be unpredictable.

Additional tickets for the Friday night seafood buffet ($15), the Saturday night Indian feast
($14.50), the Saturday morning tour lunch ($6), and the optional Sunday tour ($5) will be available
at the Conference desk. Ww Le ie a)

Several social events during the Conference will include cash bar Because Cherokee is located

on a federal reservation, there are no local liquor stores n the immediate area.
