Dear Tom:

Thank you for your letter of August 23 regarding your

Promoters Conference, sponsored by the Institute of Outdoor
Drama, to be held in Cherokee, NC, October 5-7, 1990.

We are delighed that you and members of the cast of The Reach
of Song have agreed to present a special evening of
entertainment at this year?Ts conference.

As we discussed, you have agreed to prepare a conceptual
presentation, lasting approximately one hour, of The Reach of
Song, to be performed Friday, October 5, from 8:30 to 9:30pm
in the Cherokee High School auditorium. A question and
answer session from 9:30 to 10:00pm will follow the
performance.

As we discussed, the presentation will include 10-12
performers from The Reach of Song, including fiddler James

interludes from the play. These will be interspersed with
narrative by you on the process of creating an historical

no later than October 5, 1990, to help defer travel expenses
for yourself and the others.

If you are in agreement with the arrangments as stated,
please sign below (or designate someone to sign for the
organization in place of you) and return the signed original
to us.

Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Parker,

We are indeed looking forward to the opportunity to perform
in Cherokee at this year's Institute of Outdoor Drama Conference.
We are very honored that you chose our company to perform, and we
are all very much looking forward to providing an exceptional
presentation at the conference.

As you know, many of our actors reside in the Atlanta area,
and will require compensation for travel, as well as lodging
somewhere in the mountains. In addition, our area actors will
also require some compensation for transporation to Cherokee,
which is about 60 miles from the Hiawassee area. Finally, we will
have to feed all of the performers at least one meal for their

0 time spent in Cherokee, and we will have to pay at least one
+o we technical staff member to help oversee the production. We feelat
4 that the sum of $300 will cover a@goe0d" deal of our
yO expenses in this endeavor.

Again, we are looking forward to the chance to perform at
this year's Institute of Outdoor Drama Conference. :
