- Ceramic: functional by Jacob Louis Herrmann for Spring 2012 in ART5100. I received a grant to research local clay suitable for creating bricks to build a new wood firing kiln at ECU. The grant coincided with a kiln building class led by Jim Tisnado. With the help of the grant and the class a new wood kiln is being built in the ECU kiln yard.
