George M. Hagerman oral history interview, May 8, 1989
Captain George M. Hagerman, class of 1941, recounts experiences at the U.S. Naval Academy, duty in the North Atlantic and Caribbean in the USS Lea, experiences in the Pacific in the USS Wadsworth with emphasis on the engagements at Bougainville and Okinawa, shore and sea commands, work with MAAG Germany, assignment to the NATO Defense College in Paris, command of the USS Hyades during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and involvement in Sea Spray. Interviewer: Donald R. Lennon.
