Description
Handwritten minutes from the East Carolina Teachers College Student Government Association (SGA) meetings dated October 5, 1925 to May 1926. The minutes provide an image of college life at the time. The bulk of the minutes regard disucsion of student privileges, discipline for various offenses, and the consequences handed down by SGA to offenders. During this period, only female students lived on campus. Of particular note is a reference to how students should refer to the name of the school in public. It was decided that students should refer to the school as "Teachers College."Also included are plans for campus events, entertainment, and fundraisers. These in clude a May festival, bringing to campus the state college band, and organizing a movie to be shown. Constitutional ammendments are also agreed upon. Minutes are written upon the letterhead of the organization.
