Letter from George Attmore Sparrow to his father Thomas Sparrow from Green Wreath, a plantation house in Pitt County, NC. George writes to his father about where to direct his mail and about planting oats. George is anxious about his mother and says to let him know if she gets any worse. He then says he would like for his father to stay for a weekend when he comes to see his farm in Pitt County. From the papers of Thomas Sparrow (1819-1884), a lawyer from Washington, N.C. who fought in the Civil War and later represented Beaufort County in the North Carolina General Assembly.
