Student Microscope

Student Microscope
This is the Powell and Lealand student microscope in the form designed by Cornelius Varley with the lever operated stage. It includes the very unusual sliding tube fine adjustment and a bayonet lock for the micrometer eyepiece. The tailpiece and mirror are not original and the lever knob is missing. These microscopes were made to order in a variety of configurations and some have brass stands rather than iron stands.
