Description
This is an original pre-World War II model L with monocular tube. Relatively few were made before World War II. The design was very advanced with the focus moving the stage assembly which always remains horizontal, changeable nosepiece, a variety of stages and an extensive variety of accessories. In 1936 Zeiss engineers made the first prototype phase contrast microscope on an L stand. Note the differences in knobs and some other parts from the DDR version G13. The serial number is 279366.
