The article describes the new lifesaving station on Appledore Island in Maine and its recent attempt to rescue the crew of the schooner Samuel J. Goucher. The Samuel J. Goucher ran ashore on the Isle of Shoals off the coast of Maine. The article also includes two images of the grounded schooner and the lifesaving station with the crew.
