Advertisement for Dr. Seth Arnold's Balsam depicting two older ladies sitting facing each other with a table between them. A bottle of medicine and a glass is on the table. The saying on the right side of the card is: "I want you to remember Dr. Seth Arnold's Balsam is the best remedy for Bowel Complaints." Along the left side of the card is a puzzle sentence: "The Cat has lost her Kitten. Find it." The reverse of the card states that "For 50 years Dr. Seth Arnold's Balsam Has stood unrivaled as a remedy For the Cure of Bowel Complaints." It also cures diarrhea, dysentery, cholera morbus, cholera infantum, and is good for children teething. Gilman Brothers, Proprietors, Boston, Mass. (Outside sources indicate that the rights to Dr. Seth Arnold's Balsam was sold by Dr. Seth Arnold Medical Co. to Gilman Bros. in 1868.)
