Advertisement for Dr. Seth Arnold's Balsam depicting a Colonial era man pouring medicine into a cup for a sick young woman. The woman is sitting and propped against a pillow. A scroll to the lower right of the picture states: "Physicians Who Know The value of Dr. Seth Arnold's Balsam In Curing Bowel Complaints, Use It with Great Success." The reverse of the card include testimonials from a physician, clergyman, father, and druggist, with two dating 1882. (Outside sources indicate that the rights to Dr. Seth Arnold's Balsam was sold by Dr. Seth Arnold Medical Co. to Gilman Bros. in 1868.) more...
