Bill Cline, most valuable player in the 1964 Tangerine Bowl game, ran the touchdown that brought the Pirates to within one point of tying the game, but then completed a two-point conversion pass to Bumgarner for the victory over UMass, 14-13. Stasavich was named coach of the year in 1964.
