Tea Pots

Identifier: Historic Hope Plantation
Tea in the 1700s and 1800s was not just something one drank. It was part of a set of social rituals that helped define feminine behavior. Tea was usually served in the evening, often at seven or eight o'clock. It included cakes and sandwiches, sometimes coffee, and, of course, tea. $http://digital.lib.ecu.edu/historyfiction/artifact.aspx?id=hgu more...
