Bottled beverages were a treat sold at many country stores. Coke was the most popular brand until the 1950s when Pepsi appeared on the market and became their major competitor. Although Coke and Pepsi are some of the best known name brands many others exist. The bottles pictured here come from one of those other companies; Worley’s. Little is known about Worley’s except that it was manufactured in Selma, North Carolina and specialized in Root beer.
