This confirms A/C is a Sikorsky SH3 from HS-7. HS-7 was a Navy ASW squadron based at NAS Norfolk, VA and went to sea aboard USS Randolph CVS-15. This squadron was decommissioned in May 1966 and the Randolph was decommissioned and later scrapped. I was in this squadron until Dec 1965. It appears 57 landed away from a Navy base and an APU has been brought in on a truck to help start the A/C so it can return to base. At this time, A/c was still based at NAS Norfolk, VA. I was in this squadron until Dec 1965 as an Aviation Electronics Technician.Don Riley veteran Navy AT1 - longhair@carolina.rr.com
