I believe the photo is of the auditorium entrance of the old Greenville High School. It served briefly as the Junior High in the mid 1960’s after J.H Rose (now Eppes Middle School) opened and before being struck by lightning and burning. The photographer appears to be standing at ground level between the old flag pole and the entrance. The steps appear to be missing because they are screened by a low brick wall in front of the auditorium entrance area and the bushes on either side of it. Fifth Street would be behind the photographer.
