The nurse, on the right, is Goldie Hemingway, affectionally known to all children in Pitt County as "MaMa Goldie". She is the mother of Bethel's long time mayor, Frank Hemingway.

Description
A Bethel high school student has his chest x-rayed by an x-ray technician and nurse, as part of a Pitt County Health Department screening for tuberculosis. Several girls wait in line behind him. Cf. "Chest Check-Ups on Large Scale." The Daily Reflector 2 Dec. 1955: 1. Date from negative sleeve.
