Most of the group known as "the untouchables," led by W. M. Scales, are in this picture. It also includes Leo Jenkins, relatives of James S. Ficklen, and Fitzhugh Duncan, an ECC administrator. The Untouchables raised most of the money that went towards construction of the stadium.

Fitz Duncan is the tall man second from the right on the back  row.  He was VP and business manager.

Shouldn't the end of the description refer to East Carolina Teachers Training School, not East Carolina College?

I think that's Wally Howard rather than Stuart Savage. Dave Whichard is just behind Leo's right shoulder. Reynolds May, wearing glasses, is behind James Ficklen, Jr. Herbert Waldrop is the older man between Leo and Mrs. Ficklen. Herbert Bonner behind Leo's left shoulder. J. Con Lanier between Mr. Waldrop and Mrs. Ficklen.
