The warehouse is Farmer's Warehouse, still standing on the right, on the north side of the Tar River from the center of Greenville. It was here that the JFK motorcade stopped on Sept. 17, 1960, as part of the campaign rally that climaxed with JFK's speech at the College Stadium on the ECC campus. JFK had participated in a mock-auction here that day, with literally thousands attending. Arthur Tripp coordinated the visit.
