Train derails

A Norfolk Southern freight train was involved in a derailment here this morning. The train bearing 56 cars received heavy damage to nine of the cars when apparently a section of track broke. The train, traveling at 15-18 mph at at the time of the accident, was enroute to Raleigh from Chocowinity. more...
