Temporary ferry docked

Title
Temporary ferry docked
Description
The North Carolina DOT ferry, the Hatteras, sits at a birth at a ferry dock near Manns Harbor Thursday afternoon waiting for motorists. The ferry is a converted World War II landing craft and two such craft will be used until regular ferry dock can be built at Manteo and Manns Harbor. The ferries are in use since the William Umstead bridge was closed after being severely damaged last week.
