Temporary ferry docked

The North Carolina DOT ferry, the Hatteras, sits at a birth at a ferry dock near Manns Harbor Thursday afternoon waiting for motorists. The ferry is a converted World War II landing craft and two such craft will be used until regular ferry dock can be built at Manteo and Manns Harbor.
