The man pictured to the immediate right of the auctioneer is Frank Dail a tobacco farmer from Ballards Crossroads near Greenville,N.C.

Auctioneer Jack Revels (center, pointing) starts tobacco sales on the Eastern Tobacco Market this morning in Greenville. First prices on the leaf sale ranged from $1.21-1.66 per pound on the first few rows.
