- Workers on the Howard Nanney Farm near Greenville began harvesting the first tobacco of the area this morning. According to Nanney, who has about a hundred acres, the fields are very dry and in need of some rain. Nanney said he expected to harvest about one barn today before the heat became too hard for the workers to be in the fields.
