Hail damage to crops

J.R. Edwards of Route 3 Greenville inspects hail damage on his tobacco crop yesterday afternoon. The hail storm which lasted about 10 minutes completely destroyed his 13 1/2 acres. Other farms surrounding his were also heavily damaged. Hail stones bigger than a silver dollar were seen 45 minutes after it fell. more...
