In this fourth of a series of articles that recount three principal events that occurred during the past year in the development of a particular North Carolina city, Fain discusses the city of Winston-Salem. One is the construction of the Hall of History, which will serve as an annex to the Wachovia Historical Museum, and continue the interest of the community in preserving and restoring historic Salem.
