Abstract:
Perhaps the most elaborate filling station in the state and maybe other adjoining states is MacMillan & Cameron's on Third and Chestnut in Wilmington. Henry Jay MacMillan and Bruce Cameron saw a future in the automobile and each put up $500 in 1921 to build it. The station not only has gas, but it's a full garage and retail store and is equipped to render any type of service that might be needed.
