Abstract:
The only newspaper publishing corporation that has profit sharing features in its articles can be found in Ahoskie, North Carolina. This town is the headquarters of the Parker Brothers, publishers of four weekly newspapers in the Roanoke-Chowan section. J. Roy Parker and his younger brother Mayon have had a hard road to travel in the newspaper business but they have won out and now control the Hertford County Herald, The Bertie Ledger-Advance, the Gates County Index, and the Jackson News.
