Abstract:

Heights House Hotel is located on 308 South Boylan Avenue in Raleigh. "When a curious couple stepped inside a mysterious, run-down mansion overlooking Raleigh’s Boylan Heights neighborhood, they saw the perfect setting for a relaxing escape from the chaos of modern life." Completed in 1860, the mansion originally began life as Montfort Hall. William Percival designed the home in the Italianate style, In the early 1900s, land associated with the property was subdivided to create the Boylan Heights neighborhood.
