Abstract:

A Duke University researcher became a whistleblower when suspecting that a colleague’s research results were skewed. The case became a reminder as to how often data is manipulated, why researchers may feel pressured to include false data, and why research integrity is crucial.

This short report noted that over three dozen science centers from all three NC regions received grant awards. Recipients of the award, in towns ranging from Mount Airy to Winsor, were involved in projects associated with STEM and educational opportunities for the public.
