"Video -- and other media -- couldn't kill radio star don Curtis' dream for building a statewide chain." Raleigh based Curtis Media Group is the nation's largest radio network owned by a single shareholder. Son of a Bessemer City pharmacist, Don Curtis is currently 86 years old. His family foundation is one of the largest donors at UNC Chapel Hill. He was the first president of the N.C Cable Television Association.
