Copy of a drawing of the "Old Tea-Party House, Edenton, N.C., pulled down in 1876." The Edenton Tea Party was held October 25, 1774, when a group of women signed a statement protesting the Tea Act, passed by the British Parliament in 1773. This rendering of the "Old Tea-Party House" is part of the research papers kept by Elizabeth Vann Moore. While Moore researched numerous topics related to Eastern North Carolina, this item is related to her research and un-published manuscript on the Edenton Tea Party. - Undated
