Description
Mrs. Cromartie, a resident of Charlotte, N.C., became involved in Democratic Party activities during the mid-1950s and early 1960s. She was deeply involved in the 1960 election campaign in the state, serving as a principal supporter of Terry Sanford for governor. In 1964 Mrs. Cromartie moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she became a case worker for the Regional Office of the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission (1966-1973). - November 13-14, 1986
