- This scrapbook documents the life of Helen Bryan Chamberlain Jones (1904-1984) and her civic and social activities around Washington, D.C. from 1952 to 1955. Of note is an invitation to Helen Jones to meet with First Lady Bess Truman, correspondence with First Lady Patricia Nixon, a photograph of Jones shaking hands with President Harry Truman, her activity at the national level with the Girl Scouts, and her involvement in other civic organizations and interactions with national and international figures. Includes clippings, invitations, letters received, photographic prints & printed items.
