Description
From authors: "It is estimated that there are over one million LGBT students and more than 160,000 faculty and staff at universities and colleges across the United States. At East Carolina University, we have a tradition built upon civility and an expectation that our words and actions will help to promote an environment where everyone—including our fellow Pirates who are members of the LGBT community—are treated with dignity and respect. When we celebrate the diverse identities that exist at ECU, we are living out the Division of Student Affairs mission to build a safe, supportive, and welcoming campus community." Dr. Virginia Hardy is the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs at East Carolina. Erik Kneubuehl is Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Involvement and Leadership. Wanda Tyler is Director of Intercultural Affairs and Mark Rasdorf is an Associate Director in Intercultural Affairs with primary responsibility for the oversight and operation of the LGBT Resource Office.
