Description
Oral history interviews with Capus M. Waynick. The interviews cover Waynick's personal life and career. Waynick beings by describing his childhood years, his career as a journalist, his experience with the North Carolina National Guard, and his involvement in World War I. He follows by discussing his career as a politician in North Carolina and as ambassador to Nicaragua and Colombia and as acting director of the Point IV program. Waynick as discusses his career as director of the Venereal Disease Education Institute. Included are transcriptions of the first two interviews. Interviewer: Donald R. Lennon.
