Description
Advertisement for Tarrant's Seltzer Aperient depicting a very young girl in a white dress sitting in a basket with the lid up. The basket is trimmed in blue fabric and ribbons. Pink flowers and green leaves decorate the left side of the basket. A sign on the front states "Tarrant's Seltzer Aperient, To Regulate the Stomach, the Liver, the Bowels." The writing at the bottom states "To cure Indigestion, Biliousness, Constipation." The reverse of the cards states "Tarrant's Effervescent Seltzer Aperient should be taken in the spring to remove the feeling of lassitude, in the summer to keep the head and blood cool, in the autumn to aid digestion, and all season to cure costivenss." In tiny print following the information is "Donaldson Brothers, N.Y." Date approximated. creator: Donaldson Brothers, N.Y.
