Quigless, Jr. was a African American woman, poet, librarian, community activist, and local civil rights leader. Quigless, Sr. was an African American woman, teacher, dietician, hospital administrator, librarian, and historical preservationist. Both were lived and worked in Washignton, D.C. and Tarboro, N.C. Date approximated.
