Typescript correspondence from unidentified sender, most likely Francis M. Manning, to Mr. and Mrs. Van Cleve in Princeton, New Jersey regarding the copying of materials related to Judge Asa Biggs and Martin County history. The burning of the Martin County courthouse in 1883 and Biggs' resignation from the U.S. House of Representatives in 1858 are discussed. The Van Cleves were relatives of the Biggs family.
